Our mission is to promote the well-being of all older people and to help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Our services are open to all older people aged over 60 and their carers through our offices in central Wandsworth. Age UK Wandsworth recognises the positive contribution older people make to society.

Alzheimer's Society

South West London Office

Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Many of our 20,000 members have personal experience of dementia and it is their experiences that help to inform our work.

Asian Carers Group

Wandsworth Carers Centre

A self-help group by Wandsworth Carers' Centre, the Asian Carers Group is open to all Asian Carers. Activities are varied and include outings, museum visits, health promotion, guest speakers, Arts & Craft, etc.

We are a friendly group offering support to others caring for anyone over 65 years of age. Our meetings take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month, 11am-1pm at Wandsworth Carers Centre.

Carers of People with Dementia - including Alzheimer's Disease

Wandsworth Carers Centre - Alzheimers Society

This group meets in the 2nd Wednesday of every month,11am -1pm and is run by the Alzheimers Society and Wandsworth Carers Centre for people who care for a person with dementia.

Complimentary Therapies for Carers

Wandsworth Carers Centre

A range of Complementary Therapies are offered at the Centre by volunteer therapists who are either qualified or in training on an accredited course.

Ex-carers Support Group

Wandsworth Carers Centre

This is a group where people who have stopped caring for someone can have a cake and a cup of tea and receive support to help you get started on your own life after caring. We meet every fortnight on Wednesday afternoons 2 - 4pm.

Home Instead Senior Care

Caring for the elderly in their own homes

Home Instead Senior Care provides high quality day-to-day care for older people in their own homes and care homes. We also provide a range of specialist services which includes Alzheimer's and dementia care, convalescence and respite care for families who need a break from caring duties.

Information & Advice for Carers

1:1 Advice Service - Wandsworth Carers Centre

Workers can provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL support and information on a range of issues. Including access to health & social care services. - Appointments avaliable in the centre, or where possible, we can visit you at home. - Hindi, Punjabi, Gujrati, Urdu, Vietnamese and Cantonese spoken.
