Battersea Summer Scheme aims to give under-privileged youngsters their first chance of a summer break. Since 1992 the Charity has organised exciting away days (or several nights). From trips to the seaside to busy activity days, an alternative to just hanging around and perhaps getting into trouble.

Our toddler group runs on Thursday mornings, 10-11.30 during term time. There is lots of fun to be had with toys, a singing time, a Bible story and snacks. Coffee and cakes for parents and carers!

Community Clubs

Multi-Sports Sessions for all disabled people

DSC Community Clubs are fun, accessible clubs that provide Paralympic and multi-sports for disabled people aged 11 and over. Club Wandsworth has recently moved to the brand new sports hall at Caius House Youth Centre. It is a well-attended Club where the participants are true sport enthusiasts.

Devas is a large purpose-built youth club offering a wide-range of activities, including: table tennis, pool, football, basketball, IT/internet, dance, boxing, martial arts and a impressive music recording studio. There is also a chill-out room and fully equipped gym!

Family Support

Home-Start UK is the UK's leading family support organisation. Volunteers provide home-visiting support to local families who are struggling for a variety of reasons such as multiple births, post natal depression, disability or illness and social isolation. To qualify for help, families must have one child under five years old and live in the borough of Wandsworth. Families can either self refer by getting in touch with Home-Start direct and referrals are accepted from agencies such as health

John Morris House Community Centre

Meeting the needs of the community

John Morris House Community Centre provides meeting rooms as well as various resources for hire. A number of local community projects run from there. John Morris House works in partnership with UK Online Centre's and Wandsworth Council's Widening Participation team to deliver training programmes.

Supporting education for young refugees in Wandsworth

Love to Learn is an educational charity that works with young refugees and their families in Wandsworth. We provide a learning mentor scheme, ESOL classes, trips, a homework and activities club for children aged 5-15, and educational casework and advocacy.
