what is makaton?

Makaton is using signs, symbols and speech to aid communication.

It’s used with people with communication difficulties and also with babies and young children to help them communicate their needs and choices.

It is based on signs from British Sign Language which are used in spoken word order.

Accredited trainer Laura Netley offers Makaton workshops for parents, carers and professionals of varying levels of ability.

Laura Netley is a registered, licensed trainer, approved by The Makaton Charity.
