The Basics

Living accommodation

There are a total of 77 apartments: 21 double bedrooms, 55 single bedroom and on two-bedroom apartment, arranged over three floors. Each apartment runs solely on electricity and has central heating.


Services & Security

Sheltered housing officers

There are two experienced sheltered housing officers who are able to offer advice and give assistance whenever necessary, Monday – Friday. An emergency warden responds to calls outside of office hours.

The sheltered housing officers generally  look after residents’ wellbeing, manage the block and arrange any services such as ‘meals on wheels’ or home care. Most of all, sheltered housing officers provide a friendly, reassuring presence.


Safety Features

Apartments and communal areas have a range of safety features that include:

- Emergency pull cord fire alarm system

- Door entry system

Residents Communal Longe

There are 2 communal lounges and a conservatory area. These are popular places to meet friends or take part in activities, or simply a place to read and relax away from your own apartment.


The Lounges are often the centre of Social Activities & Events where you can enjoy coffee mornings, afternoon tea, bingo, exercise classes, table tennis parties and other activities. Residents can also enjoy activities a little further afield by taking part in regular day-trips and outings.



Yew Tree Lodge has a lift to each floor which helps if you have heavy shopping or difficulty walking. The lift has an emergency button which links to Wandsworth emergency control centre.


Laundry Room

The scheme has a communal laundry room with modern washing machines and separate dryers.


Guest Suites

There is a comfortable guest suite for visitors who may wish to stay overnight. This is designed for short  stay use (a fee applies).

In addition the sheltered scheme will receive visits from the following services:
