Attend ABI
Aquired Brain Injury - Support

The Service

Attend ABI is a service designed to support adults who have an acquired and non-progressive brain injury.

It aims to support individuals to build confidence particularly through the development of new experiences and networks.

The service is aimed at clients who have substantially completed their medical rehabilitation but who do not feel ready, or need additional support, to engage meaningfully with their local community.

Getting Back into Work

We provide a number of programs to support people with ABI in getting back into employment.

Employment programme

Our employment programme offers tailored support to people with acquired brain injury back into paid employment.

It comprises of:

  • Weekly Taught Sessions, which are delivered in a group to develop communication skills.
  • Mock interviews and CV skills
  • Job Coaching, to discuss what sort of jobs you want to apply for and what courses, volunteering and work you may need to do to help to get there.
  • Supported Volunteering Roles, to explore your capabilities
  • Workplace support, when you do find your role.

Clients are supported throughout by a mentor, your 1:1 contact for the full 24 weeks.

Volunteering Solutions

Our Volunteering Solutions programme is a 3 year, Big Lottery funded project that aims to offer people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) the opportunity to up-skill, gain confidence and once again play an important role in their local community.
