Battersea Mission

Battersea Mission has a long and proud history of Christian worship and fellowship in South London. That mission continues today as we continue to serve the community in which we serve and reach out to those who need help and support.

We are a warm, welcoming Christian fellowship which brings together people of many different races, nationalities and backgrounds. Our worship combines music, prayer, scripture and preaching which is both lively and relevant to contemporary life, and at the same is orderly and reflective.

Sunday Worship

Sunday worship is at 11am and is led twice a month by our Minister Revd Richard Grocott and twice a month by local preachers. On the second Sunday of every month, we celebrate Holy Communion in our Sunday worship, and all who love the Lord Jesus are invited to come and share bread and wine at his table.

Children are particularly welcome in worship, there is usually a ‘Childrens’ address’ in the service and most Sundays children depart for their own classes during the service. These ‘Sunday School’ classes are led by competent teachers using materials supplied to us by scripture union.

Activities & Groups

Apart from Sunday worship, there are other activities taking place in our Church during the week. For example, we have a Bible Study on a Wednesday morning and a Women’s Fellowship meeting on a Thursday afternoon. The monthly Saturday prayer breakfast is a joyful time for all who attend.
