Safeguarding vulnerable adults & disabled children

ACTing Against Abuse

At ACT we believe that every disabled child and every adult at risk deserves to be treated with the same respect and dignity as everyone else in society.

We work with staff in the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors to protect people with learning disabilities who may be at risk from abuse. From our training programmes to consultation services we work tirelessly to improve standards of safeguarding and raise the levels of best practice across health, social care and education.

ACT also provide advice and information to anyone who has a query about the protection of vulnerable children and adults, including professionals, parents, carers and family members.
