Wandsworth LGBT forum
Wandsworth Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Forum

what we do

The Wandsworth, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Forum was set up in 2005, with the support of GALOP (Gay London Police Monitoring Group) to improve the lives of LGBT people living, working and studying in Wandsworth.

The forum has an elected committee that is voted in at the annual general meeting. All committee members must self define as LGBT. The committee are all volunteers who contribute as much time as possible to the development and visibility of LGBT in Wandsworth.

We welcome all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, who live, work, study or socialise within the Wandsworth borough.

Our aims are:

•to provide a platform for our members, to raise awareness and campaign on issues relevant to the Wandsworth LGBT community.

•to build partnerships to challenge homophobia and discrimination across the borough.

•to ensure that statutory agencies include LGBT communities in consultations on service provision.

•to increase awareness of people working in local statutory agencies of the needs and interests of the LGBT community.

Our open public meetings take place every three months and are a chance to connect with members, hear from guest speakers and discuss campaigns.

They are held in Battersea Library (see map below) from 6pm.
