Caring for the Mentally Distressed & Victims of Aggression

Last-stop Support and Care

The Matthew Trust is a small registered charity providing last-stop support & care for people aged 8 years old & upwards, living in all communities of our society throughout the UK, who have a mental health problem of any kind. We also care for victims of aggression (mainly women) and those with mental health problems, both in prisons & special hospitals and when they return to living in the community.


Grants are given only when all other avenues of funding are exhausted.

Our Projects


Projects delivered by The Matthews Trust offer support for:

  • Children Under 16 with Mental Health problems
  • Child Carers, caring for a parent or sibling with Mental Health problems
  • Young People Aged 16 -25 with Mental Health problems
  • People over 60 with Mental Health problems


All initial applications to the Trust must be made by a healthcare or social worker, teacher, representative of a registered charity or medical practitioner on behalf of the individual need. Parents should apply through a health worker. For more information please visit our website
