CDG Volunteers

CDG Volunteers in Wandsworth

A key part of CDG’s work is to encourage local people to support others in their community who are looking to get back into work or start work for the first time.

CDG volunteers offer an extra helping hand to our jobseekers by sharing their own skills and career experiences. This additional help is an integral part of the support CDG provides to jobseekers.

Jobseekers – Eligibility

Our jobseekers are all unemployed and aged from 16 to 64 and are referred to us by Jobcentre Plus and other referral agencies.

Many have been unemployed for six months or more and include people with complex needs such as disabilities and other challenges that may impact on their ability to find employment, for example anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, which may be exacerbated or directly attributable to being out of work.
