for mental wellbeing

Going Forward

Going Forward is a structured, tailor-made period of support for up to eight weeks with a Your Way worker. If you have a mental health diagnosis Your Way can work with you to overcome the obstacles you may face.

Whether you are looking to learn to manage your illness, return to work, enter education, find new hobbies and social activities, solve housing issues or organise your finances, a Your Way worker can help you plan for the future and build structures that will help you stay well. All our workers are experienced in supporting people with mental health problems in the community and have a wealth of knowledge ready to share with you so you won’t need support forever.

We can also offer, or help you find, group sessions that might help you, like confidence building, learning about changes to the benefits system or meeting up with other people with similar experiences.

If you do feel that you need some ongoing support once Going Forward ends, then Your Way can support you to apply for a personal budget, money for you to spend on whatever you need to keep on top of your mental wellbeing.

Your Way Support Packages

If you qualify for a personal budget or want to pay for support yourself, you can purchase ongoing support from Your Way.  We can work with you to build a package of support based on your needs and how much money you have available. You can also purchase packages geared towards specific goals, like getting a job, building social networks or getting out and about more.
