Teddington and Hampton Wick Voluntary Care Group
We aim to assist the elderly, the disabled and others in our local area who need a helping hand.
Teddington & Hampton Wick Voluntary Care Group

We are a registered charity, established in 1975 and are managed by an elected committee of friendly volunteers and employs part time co-ordinators. We have a small office in the local Methodist church that aims to support the needs of elderly, disabled and other individuals in our community.

What We Do

We provide a range of different services, including:

  • Helping out with shopping, collecting and returning residents from their front door using RaKAT (Richmond and Kingston Accessable Transport) Community Buses.
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • Lifts for medical treatment, taking residents for medical treatments including to local hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists, clinics and chiropodists.
  • A friendly face, which is always available to visit isolated people in need of a little company and friendship and can help with some household paperwork.
  • A variety of fun social events such as afternoon teas and boat trips.
